Our legendary art-filled party always signals the start of ISF season, and we’re back in person for the first time in two years! Speaking to our festival theme of Inner / Outer Climates are a roster of musical and culinary magicians.
The soulful summer sound of rising musical stars Laydy Jams will begin the evening, and as the sun sets, DJ Paisley Eva and DJ Shao honour their Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and South Asian roots, with dashes of pop, house and hip-hop.
Chef Vikram Vij leads a gathering of culinary artists who express culture and connection through food. Featuring Vij’s, Indian Pantry, Kozak Ukranian Kitchen, Medina and Tayybeh, they cover India, parts of South Asia, Syria, Ukraine and the Mediterranean regions.
Please note: Due to limited space and ensuring a COVID-aware design, ISF2022’s Opening Party is by invitation only for participating artists, cultural partners, sponsors and Patrons Circle donors of Indian Summer Festival. BUT, we didn’t want to close this event off completely. A limited number of Opening Party invitations are available to the public by lottery. What’s more, they’re free! You would be our honoured guests. When you buy at least two tickets to ISF events (prior to June 28), you will be entered into a draw. The results of the draw will be declared on June 28th.
