Sadia Shirazi
Sadia Shirazi is a writer, curator and scholar. Shirazi was previously curator of international art at the Tate Modern. A recipient of the Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant, their writing has appeared in Artforum, Frieze, C Magazine, and other periodicals, as well as in various exhibition catalogues. She has exhibited work internationally including at The Tramway in Glasgow, the 16th Venice Architecture Biennial, Performance Space New York and the Devi Art Foundation in Delhi. They are currently working on a book project that traces the lives of four artists across the Indian subcontinent, Indian Ocean, Japan, Western Europe and the United States during the second half of the twentieth century, as well as a counter-archive and audio documentary of the 02020 project initiated by Performance Space New York. Shirazi is currently an Assistant Professor and Canada Research Chair in the Department of Art History, Visual Art, and Theory at the University of British Columbia.
