Shelly Dhawan is an ESG specialist with over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, including more than a decade dedicated to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risk analysis and shareholder advocacy Previously, she has served as Head of ESG Research, where she led the evaluation of ESG performance for socially responsible  investment funds with $3B Assets Under Management. Her professional background also includes extensive experience in ESG and ethical risk management for the Credit Union and Financial sector. 

She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in Commerce from the University of British Columbia and maintains the Responsible Investment Specialist (RIS) designation. A passionate supporter of the arts, Shelly provided significant volunteer support to the Indian Summer Festival during its formative years and served on the board of the Indian Summer Arts Society from 2013-2016, where she held the roles of Treasurer and Secretary.
