Wheelchair & Mobility Device Access:

 

SFU Djavad Mowafaghian Cinema is wheelchair and scooter accessible, including washrooms. 

These events are all by general admission, with a very limited number of accessible seats. Please contact [email protected] to specify your preference. You will also be prompted to indicate any seating requirements during the checkout process when purchasing tickets through Eventbrite.

 

Parking:

There is no accessible parking near the venue. Public pay parking is available at Abbott and Hastings, 65 W Cordova, and Water Street. Street parking is also available.

 

Transit:

The closest Skytrain station is Stadium-Chinatown or Waterfront, and is approximately 500m away from the building. There are bus stops nearby and the building is serviced by the #4, 14, 17, and 19 buses. Users may have to cross several streets, or pass through traffic/parked cars to access the entrance. 

 

Seating:

Chairs are folding seats with lightly cushioned backs and bottoms and armrests (16” high x 17” wide). 6 seats are reserved for wheelchair users and their companions, the elderly, and people who need a larger seat. There are no ramps leading to the remaining seat

 

Bathrooms:

There are two washrooms, each with a single accessible stall, washrooms have either a push button entrance or open entrance. The route from the accessible seating to the washroom is narrow, with a 45” wide corridor.

 

Scent: 

While Indian Summer Festival emails all ticket holders requesting that attendees refrain from wearing scented products at all of our events, we do not enforce this policy, nor does the venue have permanent scent-free policies in place.
