Daljit Gill-Badesha (she/her)

CHAIR

Daljit Gill-Badesha, EdD (UBC) is a seasoned advocate and experienced leader in the non-profit and government sectors, providing leadership locally and provincially. She is a committed advocate for equity and inclusion, with expertise spanning across different age groups and social issues, partnering with diverse and multiple stakeholders. She has designed programs and strategies that have led to game-changing advances for her organizations. She is a well-rounded expert on community development, inclusion, equity and community planning, and engages and develops meaningful relationships with diverse equity-deserving groups.

Daljit is the CEO of AMSSA (Affiliation of Multicultural Societies and Services of BC) and has provided leadership at various community planning and provincial advisory tables. She currently Chairs the Provincial Child Care Council (PCCC) for the Government of British Columbia and is a member of BC’s inaugural Anti-Racism Data Committee.

Daljit lives in Surrey with her husband, two children and dog. She loves being in nature, cooking, and listening to South Asian music and performances.
