Hriday Buddhdev

Hriday is a 3 rd year at UBC majoring in Computer Science. He has been learning Sarod and Tabla from an early age and is a student of Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri and Ustad Alam Khan. Hriday has performed in the USA, UK, and locally, and was also featured in CBC’s 30-under-30 hottest classical artists for 2023. He is also a twice-awardee for the advanced instrumental scholarship at AACM. At VSO’s Day of Music 2023, Hriday presented a lec-dem on the dynamics of the Sarod. Along with his musical peers, Hriday shares insights about Indian classical music in their podcast, Tablast.
