Vancouver born Architect David Wong recently wrote the acclaimed graphic novel, Escape to Gold Mountain, a story of the Chinese community in North America. It is a story of racism, of hope, and of reconciliation. David has been drawing and sketching all his life and enjoys blending in diverse disciplines into his art and architectural designs. He was recently inducted as an Honorary Witness for the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, to help share and document experiences by First Nations people affected by residential schools. David spends most of his free time caring for his massive carnivorous plant collection and saving frogs around the world.
