Clare Yow

Clare Yow is a Chinese-Canadian visual artist whose practice is foregrounded on the exploration of her politics of identity and being, often through the use of found and everyday objects. Ideas surrounding consumption, in-between-ness and loss help navigate the landscape whereher subjectivities as an immigrant, a diasporic settler, and feminist woman, all collide. Clare lives and works on the unceded, ancestral, and occupied territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) and səl̓ílwətaʔɬ /Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) First Nations.
