Abhilash Kunnath Sethumadhavan (he/him)

VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

Abhilash is a volunteer coordinator and finance professional who is interested in how structured systems and people-centered work come together to support creative spaces. He is drawn to environments where coordination, care, and collaboration enable meaningful cultural experiences to take shape.

He currently works with Indian Summer Arts Society, supporting volunteer operations across recruitment, training, scheduling, database management, and on-site coordination for festival programming. Alongside this, he is pursuing a Post-Degree Diploma in Business Administration at Langara College.

Through his work, Abhilash is interested in building systems that are both organized and adaptable, helping teams function smoothly while staying responsive to the energy of live, community-driven environments.

Outside of work, he enjoys sketching portraits, a practice that allows him to slow down, observe details, and stay connected to a more reflective and creative part of himself. He is also drawn to conversations with people from different backgrounds, as he finds learning through others’ experiences to be both grounding and inspiring.

Born and raised in Kerala, India and now based in Vancouver, Abhilash continues to navigate the balance between structure and creativity and is interested in how behind-the-scenes coordination plays an essential role in making collective cultural experiences possible.
