Laura June Albert works in fundraising, capacity building, and cultural production. She is a seventh-generation white settler based in occupied xʷməθkwəy̓əm, Skwxwú7mesh, and Səl̓ílwətaɬ territories, colonially known as Vancouver, Canada. Laura June completed her MA in Contemporary Arts Studies at SFU in 2018, where she researched and wrote about whiteness and white supremacy structures in western contemporary art. In 2021 she completed Seth Godin’s altMBA and Aspiration Tech’s How to Raise Money programs. Her current focus is on the redistribution of capital toward equity and justice in the arts.

Outside of her work with Indian Summer Arts Society, Laura June can be found cooking up a storm, working with textiles, and exploring anticolonial embodiment practices.
