
Devyani Saltzman She / Her
Devyani Saltzman is a Toronto-based writer, curator and arts leader with a practice in multidisciplinary programming at the intersection between art, ideas and social change. She was most recently Director of Public Programming at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), the fourth largest museum in North America, and previously the Director of Literary Arts at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, as well as a founding Curator at Luminato, North America’s preeminent multi arts festival. Saltzman is the author of Shooting Water (Publishers Weekly, Library Journal starred reviews, ‘A poignant memoir’ The New York Times) and her work has appeared in The Globe and Mail, The Atlantic, the National Post, and Tehelka, India’s weekly of arts and investigative journalism. She is the Vice Chair of the Writers’ Trust of Canada, and sits on the Board of Directors of the Toronto Arts Council and the Ontario Association of Art Galleries. She consults across the sector and has worked with a number of organizations as an independent curator.
