Drift into a serene garden party celebrating South Asian and Caribbean botanical heritage. This gathering is designed to reconnect you with the earth and your cultural heritage through the lush world of traditional herbs and vegetables.
Immerse yourself in a poignant garden activation ceremony led by renowned horticulturist and Indian’s Summer’s resident Artist as Healer, Alisha Lettman. She will highlight hidden gems from a rich collection of 64 ancestral herbs and plants, reigniting ancient knowledge that has been overshadowed in modern times.
Savour a delightful garden-inspired tasting menu, handcrafted by Vinaya Waghmode from Elaichi Patisserie and Abneet Kaur Sandhar from The Nourished Woman, who bring to the palate culinary histories that have nourished generations.
Feel the elemental dance of water, the flickering glow of diva lamps, and the lovely melodies carried by air, all interconnected through the mystical ether. We invite you to an uplifting mela filled with live music, dance, plants, and mehndi artistry–the perfect ingredients for a summer soirée!
This evening will also feature genre-defying sitarist Mohamed Assani, double-bassist Harmeet Kaur Virdee, multifaceted performance artist Shahir Qrishnaswamy, mehndi by Vancouver Henna, and more.
