Genre-defying musician and seven-time Grammy Award nominee Anoushka Shankar unveils a special project for Indian Summer Festival. Anoushka is a singular artist, steeped in musical inheritance, yet always defying expectations. Join Anoushka as she leads us through the inspirations – personal and political – that inform her art, and introduces us to musical landmarks in her career.

She invites us into her world, starting with her tutelage with her legendary father and guru Pandit Ravishankar, her collaborations over the years with a range of outstanding artists from around the world, her music in response to humanitarian and social justice movements, and finally a glimpse into her reflections during the pandemic, ending with an acoustic performance from home, especially for ISF.

This is a rare chance to experience both the inner workings and the music of one of the most vital artists of our times.
