Tales of War and Peace
Event Description
The festival theme for 2017 was ‘Tales of War and Peace’. This edition of Indian Summer promised to offer us a window into possibility and a view to a world outside of the one that currently exists. We learned the forgotten Indian soldiers of World War II, heard a blues rendition of the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, met graphic novelists who draw from the frontlines and linguists who fight for the survival of endangered languages.
