Tushar Tondvalkar

Tushar Tondvalkar, former executive chef at Mumbai Local is now working on opening his own restaurant while maintaining a catering company and offering private dining experiences in Vancouver. In his time as a professional chef, he has completed internships at Asia’s Number One restaurant and two Michelin Stared restaurant Gaggan and at Gaa in Bangkok. He has worked at some of Vancouver’s best restaurants such as Bauhaus, Fish House in Stanley Park and Blue Water Cafe. Chef Tushar is working on changing Western perspectives to Indian food, encouraging them to look at it from a dynamic perspective while still maintaining authentic and unique flavours that are plentiful in Indian cuisine.
