Nurjehan Aziz
Nurjehan Aziz is a Toronto- based writer. She was the editor of Her Mother’s Ashes: Stories by South Asian Women in Canada and the United States, and more recently The Relevance of Islamic Identity in Canada. She is the publisher at Mawenzi House.
Aziz was born in Tanzania, studied in Iran and the United States and immigrated to Canada in 1980. She is a co-founder of The Toronto South Asian Review, now The Toronto Review, of which she is an editorial board member.
