Milan Singh

Dr. Milan Singh is a researcher, curator, and community historian. Her research areas include the bombing of Air India Flight 182, South Asian Canadian history, and media representations of race and gender. She was a lead researcher on SFU’s Komagata Maru Journey digital archive project, and has co-curated events and consulted on related projects.

Milan is a founding member of the South Asian Canadian Histories Association (SACHA). In 2017 SACHA produced an art exhibition titled, “Trauma, Memory, and the Story of Canada” and site-specific theatre titled, “A Vancouver Guldasta.”

She is one of the voices behind The Nameless Collective podcast, speaking alongside Naveen Girn and Paneet Singh, with producer Manjot Bains. In the past, the trio has partnered with the Vancouver Heritage Foundation to lead walking tours in Kitsilano.
